Labuan Bajo, a little city on Flores, Indonesia, serves as the gateway town to the famous Komodo National Park in East Nusa Tenggara. Famished from island-hopping throughout the three days we were there, we all attempted these restaurants mainly located on the main street with lovely views of the refuge and the horizon.
The Best Restaurant
- Bajo Taco and Bajo Bakery
Also, with a view of the harbor is the city’s only Tex-Mex restaurant, Bajo Taco, they discuss a terrace perspective with Bajo Bakery, where you could find a range of cakes, bread, beverages, and healthful food. We attempted their quesadillas, burrito, along nachos. It was fun to discuss these with friends while sipping on drinks.
- Paradise Bar
If you’re searching for where to see the sunset in Labuan Bajo, you should kindly head to this bar. The expansive deck is perfect for shooting panoramic views of the sunset along with the harbor. Add festive songs and alcoholic drinks to this equation, and it’s going to be a perfect night.
- Tree Top Restaurant
Our first meal at Labuan Bajo was here in this open-air boat-shaped restaurant. We could try various Indonesian dishes while marveling at the vibrant murals from this restaurant’s walls, ceilings, and stairs. Be sure you also look at the upper floors, which offer a comprehensive view of the harbor while dining on wooden tables.
Even though it looks somewhat upscale than La Cucina, Mediterraneo is just another Italian restaurant worth a go. Their food presentation deserves a thumbs up since they place a great deal of work into it. It was like dining in a fine dining area. The restaurant and lounge also have an”top” seating with bean bags that is great for frightening around.
- La Cucina
This authentic Italian restaurant is famed for its pasta and pizza. Decked in a white and blue nautical theme, guests may enjoy a meal or drink with harbor views. The restaurant is a bit small so that it can get a little cramped. It is also possible to come here to get a wonderful sunset view.
The Best Dishes You Must Taste
- Catemak Corn
The first dish is Bose Corn. Also, a distinctive dish in Labuan Bajo that’s made from corn and beans such as peanuts and kidney beans. Besides adding a tasty taste, don’t forget to add coconut milk and seasonings. This food isn’t only healthy but also nutritious because it contains carbohydrates instead of rice.
Next, either Se’i or eaten meat is a typical meal of Labuan Bajo made out of beef. This food is cooked using long-distance firewood, which reminds us of a few of the dishes in the land of ginseng. Meat can be consumed immediately by slicing and will be more tasty if consumed using the cooked sauce.
- Bose Corn
Last but not least is Bose Corn, a particular dish in Labuan Bajo made of corn and legumes such as peanuts and kidney beans. In addition to adding a savory taste, do not neglect to add coconut milk and seasonings. This food isn’t only healthful but also nutritious, as it contains carbohydrates instead of rice.
